And fortunately for them, there are lots of places locally and within a reasonable drive time where they can do just that! Read on for our comprehensive guide of where to see Santa in and around Sutton Coldfield this festive period…

Christmas Grotto at Our Place Community Hub, Sutton Coldfield
The Our Place Elves are once again getting ready for Santa’s arrival at Our Place Community Hub on Saturday 14th December. Santa will be there from 10am until 3pm so children can come and see him with their Christmas lists! Refreshments and Christmas craft sessions available.

Visit Santa at Treat Street, Boldmere
Santa will be visiting Treat Street again this year. He will be in Treat Street’s grotto from 11am until 4pm every Saturday in December before Christmas that’s the 7th, the 14th and the 21st. He will be bringing fantastic gifts for all ages and some free sweets too.
No need to book, just come along, the price is £7.50 per child.

Santa at the Grace Church Shopping Centre, Sutton Coldfield
The grotto opens on Saturday 23rd at 10.00am and then every day until 24th December – it costs just £5.00 to see Santa and receive a gift. Additional photo memorabilia is also available for purchase.  You can either turn up on the day or book online by clicking here.

Find Santa at The Donkey Sanctuary, Sutton Coldfield Park
Santa will be in his grotto at the fabulous Donkey Sanctuary on Saturday 7th December 10.30am-3pm. For more information call 0121 354 9444.

Children will have a ‘Harry Christmas’ at the House of Fraser Grotto
House of Fraser’s Birmingham store magical Christmas Grotto will be run entirely by Harry Moseley’s charity, ‘Help Harry Help Others  who will be inviting children to meet Father Christmas and give him their present wishes from Saturday 30 November up until Christmas Eve to raise funds to help the charity in its efforts.
Open from 10am-6pm Monday to Saturday and 11am-5pm on Sundays from 30 November – 15 December.
From 16 December – 23 December the grotto will be open from 10am -7pm Monday to Saturday and 11am-5pm on Sundays and from 11am – 5pm on Christmas Eve.

Santa’s Winter Wonderland, SnowDome, Tamworth
Real snow, real reindeers, real Santa … and real fun. Play and slide around in snow as you explore Santa’s Christmas snow trail with it’s biggest ever slide! Take a walk through the enchanted forest, enjoy a fun game of snowballs, hitch a ride on a sledge and have fun sliding about in the snow tubes.

Santa Spends Weekends at Cadbury World
Cadbury World will be transformed into a festive winter wonderl and Father Christmas will also be flying in from the North Pole to take up residence by the fireplace in his magical themed Christmas grotto. Visit Father Christmas, and watch Jack and the Cocoa Bean Stalk pantomime.

Santa Safari at West Midlands Safari Park
Santa Safari with four miles of self drive safari to see rare White Tigers, the largest pride of White Lions in the UK along with lots more besides, like Elephants, Giraffe and Rhino, along with a visit to Santa’s grotto to meet with Santa and his elves.

Santa’s Grotto at Sleeping Beauty’s Magical Christmas Castle, Dudley Zoo and Gardens
Catch a magical train ride aboard the Santa Express and see the world’s rarest animals en route to Santa’s magical Sleeping Beauty-themed Grotto within the walls of the eleventh Century Dudley Castle. Receive a gift from Santa, enjoy a fun-filled Christmas show, and round off your day with a tour of the site.

Santa in the Gardens – Christmas Grott0, Birmingham Botanical Gardens
A truly magical time of year! Santa and his Elves will soon be leaving the North Pole where it is all spakly with white fallen snow in their sleigh, to start their very special journey to The Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Come along and visit Santa in his Grotto and receive a gift from his secret toy shop.

Magical Christmas at Drayton Manor

Santa will be at his Grotto at Touchwood Solihull this year from November 23rd 10.30am-7pm Mon to Friday And 10m-7pm Sat and Sun 11am-5pm. Come along on day and book a timeslot.

Search for Santa’s hideout, Avoncroft Museum
Santa is making his traditional pre-Christmas visit to Bromsgrove and is staying in one of the Museum’s historic buildings. Join a search party to find him following clues around the site, but beware of mischievous elves who may try to put you off the trail! A Christmas present for children and a glass of hot mulled wine for parents is included in your ticket.

Hatton Country World – A Golden Key To See Santa
Come and see Santa in his magical Grotto and receive a golden key to unlock his workshop where each child can choose their very own present off the shelves. Santa and the Enchanted Forest at Conkers
Santa’s chief Elf will lead you through the enchanted forest and Christmas lights to his woodland grotto where you can meet the reindeer. Afterwards, adults can warm themselves with a glass of hot mulled wine and a mince pie whilst the kids enjoy a freshly baked cookie. Carol singers and street performers will raise your Christmas spirits! The day includes a journey on Santa’s special elf train!

Santa Hunt Black Country Living Museum
A fun-filled search for Santa with costumed guides and magical Christmas clues, stir the Christmas pudding, sprinkle magic dust on the reindeer’s shoes, write a letter to Santa in the Victorian school, send it up the chimney and see if he has received it by the time you have found him. Each child receives a gift.
